Collaborative robots (cobots) work in tandem with humans, prioritising safety and effectivity. Very versatile, small and lightweight, cobots can quickly switch between tasks thanks to their intuitive GUIs.

Moreover, the range of applications for cobots is growing in other industries beyond manufacturing, such as agriculture, food service, life sciences, consumer goods, plastics, and electronics.

Cobots aren’t necessarily designed to remove human workers from jobs entirely, however sometimes that can be a preferable option. They are designed to integrate into tasks characterised by manotony and dull jobs that could risk human errors or injury and increase productivity in doing so.

Additionally, because cobots come in varying sizers from larger to smaller, they are ideal partners when the task is fiddly with small parts or involves intricate placement; the type of job performed at a workbench.
